Khidmah organised after Tarawi sporting activities at Madani High School during the

month of Ramadhan. Allowing both young and old to relax whilst taking part in various

sports which included Football, Cricket, Badminton, Volleyball and Table tennis. The

whole month of activities proved to be a huge success ensuring youngsters were not

drawn into any anti social behavior.

Ramadhan Iftaar for Students:

Khidmah ensures that students at the respected universities in the city had a good meal

at the time of opening their fasts in the holy month of Ramadhan.

Eid Dinner with Homeless People

Khidmah believes that everyone should be able to celebrate eid as part of a family.

Khidmah was able to support those either homeless or living in homeless shelters

without a means to celebrate eid. They were taken out as a group for a meal.

Khidmah Winter Charity Fundraiser

A number of local teams took part in a football competition as well as Khidmah’s first

ever Table Tennis and badminton tournaments during the December holidays.

The whole event was very well received and enjoyed by those who attended. A total of

£500 was also raised for Islamic Relief.

Khidmah Half Term Health

A Programme for young people aged 11-16 to participate in a range of sporting

activities. Workshops were held for young people to receive professional sports

coaching and information on healthy eating, nutrition and the harms of drugs & alcohol

as well as personal development.

Volunteer Recruitment Seminar

A seminar was held this year to encourage young people to get involved in volunteering.

The seminar included discussions on the Islamic perspective of volunteering. Attendees

were given the opportunity to show an interest in volunteering in the different areas.

Khidmah Swimming Gala

2010 was the launch of the inaugural Khidmah Organisation swimming gala. Held at

Cossington swimming baths in conjunction with SWS, teams from across the cities

madressa’s took place. Displaying Different strokes to compete against each other.
